Christian Davakis, tenor, is a New Jersey native actively performing in the tri-state area. Christian’s vocal repertoire spans from renaissance music to contemporary, though his greatest love is for opera.

In his most recent operatic performance, Christian sung the role of Goro in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly with NJ Lyric Opera. Christian will also sing the role of Gastone in Verdi’s La Traviata in May with NJ Lyric Opera. In addition to singing roles, Christian has been an ensemble member in operas such as The Rake’s Progress, La Traviata, and La Rondine.

Christian is also a lover of concert and recital repertoire. He has sung for the New School’s Bernstein Centennial Concert hosted by Jaime Bernstein. Christian has also sung recitals for multiple scholarships, notably for Nora London who represented her husband George London’s Scholarship Fund. Christian made his debut with the Eastman Rochester Chorus and Orchestra as the tenor soloist for Beethoven’s Mass in C.

Christian received his Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from the Mannes School of Music. He received his Masters of Music in Vocal Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music.
